DLPDLCR2000EVM: Support to design additional external optics to converge image at desired position

Part Number: DLPDLCR2000EVM

We are planning to design an infotainment menu projector in cars using DLPDLCR2000EVM.

Requirement: to design an additional optics (converging lens) to reduce  the projected area for our  application.

Could you please provide  any of below details of DLPDLCR2000EVM

ØOptics design file of projector to replicate its geometrical rays in our software

Or

Or

  • Hello User,

Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology!

As an initial note, the DLPDLCR2000EVM along with the rest of our EVMs are not meant to be used as an end product, but as an evaluation module. The primary purpose of the EVM is to allow our clientele to become acquainted with our chipsets. We do not support using them as a final product.

The optical engine for the DLPDLCR2000EVM was designed and manufactured by Young Optics Incorporated. As such, we recommend that they be contacted for the requested design files.

    Kind regards,

    Austin

  • Hi Austin,

Thanks for your reply. this is for a proof of concept development of automotive projector, and not for the final product. The distance between projector location and projection area is 50cm, and the image size at this distance  is more than required. Hence a converging optics is required .

Could you please suggest the concerned contact  at  Young optics? As this is TI product , will they share those details without your approval?

    regards

    Sumia

  • Hello Sumia,

    You are welcome.

Unfortunately I do not have a specific contact that you might reach. I would recommend taking advantage of the contacts available on their "Contact info" page.

    Regards,

    Austin
