Hello User,
Can you give more detail about this request? Are you trying to remove off state black light from your images? Can I get more detail on why the standard image output is undesirable for your use case?
Regards,
John
Hi again,
First of all thank you for your fast answer.
The goal is to retroproject a image in a non rectangular screen. My first idea was to do a black "mask" in the image based in the fact that the black color is not projected, But when I'm projecting a black screen there is a significant amount of light still coming out of the projector.
There is any way to solve this problem? Or there are any other ways to project in non rectangular screen?
Once again thank you for your help.
Regards.
Hello User,
Please try implementing a black image curtain on your unit by enabling and writing the command in the Display menu of the Advanced EVM GUI screen or through your own API if one have been developed through the 0x16 command. Using this command while the LED's are enabled and a white field test pattern is shown should give an idea as to the contrast of black that the EVM will allow when the illumination block is active. If this appears brighter than the black mask of your projection, there may be video data coming through in the dark areas causing small amounts of light to output when undesired. Some amount of light is expected to bleed through, though the contrast between on and off should be acceptable.
Otherwise your solution of feeding a masked image to vary the shape would be my suggestion. There is the option of cropping the image and display size in the Display page of the GUI's advanced window, but this will maintain a rectangular or square shape.
Kind regards,
Austin
