The waveform glitch in Column mode with small pixel width number

Hi Vivek,

Attached 4 csv files of one hadamard (H_xxxx.csv) and three column (C_xxxx.csv) scans.

The scans with the same configuration of halogen light to spectrometer with fiber.

The scan configuration are show as below image.

The glitch is randomly happened in column scan like csv 092326.csv and 092337.csv.

Sometimes there is no glitch of column scan like csv 92330.csv.

And the hadamard scan looks more reliable in the small pixel width setting.

Hello Paul,

I need the CSV file with  detailed data. Please click on "File Setting" button in scan window of GUI.

Then select "Combined CSV file" in the pop up window.

This will generate the CSBV file with all details.

See if these csv files you want.

It looks all the machines have the phenomenon in column scan with small number of pixel width.

note. not sure why the scan type all recorded "slew scan" in csv information.

In my setting, C_xxx is column mode and H_xxx is hadamard mode.

Thanks for sharing the csv data files. Upon glancing through them we noticed that you are not averaging to be done based on only one scan data. We recommend you to please use at least 4 or 6 to avoid the noise. Since SNR for Column scan is low compared to Hadamard scan, You don't see such glitches in Hadamard.

I understand that using average, hadamard scan or enarge the pixel width number of column scan will make the glitch gone.

However I would like to know the cause of the random glitch in column scan or calibrating scan (full dmd scan - sample all columns).

I'm wondering if the glitches is caused by that some mirror didn't move to exactly position induce the intensity changes.

Would like to konw the root casue of spectrum glitch in the system.

Hello Akhil,

Thanks for the explanation.

For the application, we will using hadamard scan rather than column scan.

Note that the error may more than 1% in the case and average or enlarge pixel width number just minor the glitch but not fixed it.

I still see the Num of repeats(Indicates the total num of averages set in scan configuration) as 1 in the csv files you have shared above. 

Please share the appropriate csv scan data files for further analysis. 

Note: Make sure you apply and save your scan configuration changes while modifying.
