DLPDLCR3010EVM-G2: Operating noise

Hello.

I'm using a DLPDLCR3010EVM-G2 device and the operating noise is too loud.

Any suggestion to reduce that?

    Welcome to the E2E forum! Thank you for your business.

    May I ask why the noise is an issue?

    If you are creating a customized board, the two fans can be switched out to quieter versions. Otherwise, the DLPDLCR3010EVM-G2 is meant for evaluation purposes and its design is optimized for functionality.

    Hello again,

    First of all thank you for the fast answer.

    The device will be used to project images in a demonstrator of a project and the noise it's not suitable for the application.

    There are quieter versions to replace the currente ones without changing the design and compromise the projector  ?

    If so, can you suggest me an alternative?

    Hello Carlos,

    Texas Instruments does not manufacture the fans used in our EVMs and we have no recommendations for alternative fans. If you desire to change out the existing fan, fans with similar dimensions and specs can be found online. However, we cannot guarantee ideal operation if these changes are made.
