We want to design an optical engine use the DLP 780-TE with five channels,that are LE D/B/A P3MQ and LE CG P3AQ.Long wavelegth Red is missed.
We first use the LED P3 series,but we can’t estimate the illuminus from project images.Is this appropriate to use the LE P3 series which we want to get
5000lmANSI from project images?Or how many illuminus can DLP 780-TE get use osram LE P3 series?
There are the illuminus from the OSRAM LE P3 series:
If we suppose the efficiency of the optical engine is 20%,we just calculate the illuminus from LE CG P3AQ,
12100*20%=2420,18000*20%=3600
We can get the illuminus from project image is 2420lm ~~ 3600lm.
Please make sure the calculation is correct.
From the Etendue’s calculation:
We get:
The emitting dimension of LE P3 MQ/AQ Series is as the picture,emitting dimension is 4.85*2.6mm.
The active array with 780-TE is 17.28*9.72mm as the picture.
So we can get the Etendue as :
DMD Etendue=pi*17.28*9.72*sin(17°)^2=45.10
LE P3 Etendue=pi*4.85*2.6*sin(75°)^2=36.96
We see LED Etendue<DMD Etendue,how many illuminus can get from project images?
That’s the quetions of optical engine with DLP 780-TE using OSRAM LE P3 Series.
