Can point cloud data be generated using DLP3010EVM LC referring to TIDU985A?

Does scanning through DLP3010EVM LC be done as hand-held mode? Does it have any specific camera fps requirements?

Will the camera FL3-U3-13E4C-C work with DLP3010EVM LC ?

Can Basler cameras be connected to DLP3010EVM LC. Is there any guide for the same?

Hello User,

1.) We will have to look into this documentation to give an answer.

2.) We will have to look into this as well.

3.) The camera would need to match these specifications listed here, Page 8 Section 7.3.

4.) The same document listed above should be used when looking for compatible cameras. I would also recommend read the document as a whole to better understand if your camera choice is compatible.

The responses to your questions are as follows -

Can we refer to TIDU985A pdf for generating point cloud data from DLP 3010 EVM LC?
- TIDU985A uses DLP Lightcrafter 3000 and not DLP3010EVM-LC, the point cloud generation software will not be compatible with DLP3010EVM-LC chipset. The generation of the point cloud is something you will have to take care of.
Will hand-held scanning be achievable through DLP 3010 EVM LC?
- Yes, this should be possible.
Can we interface FL3-U3-13E4C-C camera with DLP 3010 EVM LC? Can a Basler camera be interfaced with the above DLP system?
- DLP3010EVM-LC support certain signals for camera synchronization (Trig_Out1, Trig_Out2, Trig_In etc). Please make sure that the camera you choose is capable of using the above signals for synchronization.
How to verify the accuracy of the projected field of view?
- It is possible to achieve a resolution of pixel width using the pattern display modes supported by DLP3010EVM-LC. The accuracy is dependent on the pattern display algorithm and camera specifications. There have been instances where customers have been able to beyond the native display resolution of the chipset using a higher resolution camera via interpolation techniques.
