DLPNIRNANOEVM: Application Inquiry

Part Number: DLPNIRNANOEVM

Hello Team,

My customer wanted to use our EVM for the NIR spectroscopy unit that can produce spectra for sugarcane bagasse at factories that process sugarcane. The question pertains to the sampling 'apparatus'. Does this need the sample to be in a cuvette to be able to analyze it? They need is to have the NIR module scan the sample from a fair distance away from the module. The sugarcane bagasse is on a belt and moving at a certain speed. Could they mount the DLPNIRNANOEVM on an apparatus to a position above the belt and scan the sample?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Renan

  • Hello Renan,

The team will have to look into your use case and see if the EVM could be used for this.

    Regards,

  • Hello Renan,

The sampling head for the EVM is replaceable. The TI EVM by default comes with reflective  head. In this configuration, the sample needs to be placed against the windows.

You can purchase a transmissive head from our third party partners like Innospectra and Opteck. Which can be  mounted on the TI EVM. In this configuration, the sample needs to be placed in  Cuvette for scanning.

    InnoSpectra Corporation (inno-spectra.com)

    Spectrometers (optecks.com)

Innospctra also has  product with fiber optic interface, In this configuration, you can use probe to scan the sample.  This configuration may be better suited for this application.

Please request customer to contact InnoSpecta for further details on Fiber Optics Module.

    regards,

    Vivek
