DLP9000X: Max Illumination's difference

Part Number: DLP9000X
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP9500,

Hi TI's everyone,

Regarding "ENVIRONMENTAL For Illumination Source Between 400 nm and 420 nm" in the datasheets of DLP9000X and DLP9500, DLP9000X's illumination is maximum 10W/cm2 and DLP9500's illumination is maximum 11W/cm2. What are the backgrounds and causes of such differences(10W/cm2 VS 11W/cm2)?

  • Hi Uryyy,

The specifications are generated from internal test data at the time of the release of the device, and are dependent on design and application use conditions. We do occasionally gather information from the market to see if there is a request to increase power densities. It is not our goal to make each power density the same for every device.

Do you have a specific question or use case for these devices regarding power density?

    Thank you,

    Natt
