Dual NIR-Visible DLP module

Hi!

We are actually designing a medical device where we need a DLP projector (as small & compact as possible) that would be able to project at short distance (10 to 15cm) either a visible pattern, or either a NIR pattern.
Is there any solution in the DLP portfolio, that would allow this, the projection of different light sources? (VIS and NIR)
Or any device where we could "simply" replace one of the RGB colors (The Red for example) by a NIR source?

    Could you please more details about your application and requirement? What content will be projected? What wavelength for NIR?

    Hello Vivek,
    The application is a device which observes veins and displays related information on the skin.

    The wavelength for the NIR should be around 850nm (could be between 810 and 880)

    We plan to display simultaneously (or alternatively) 2 patterns, one in visible (any color visible for human eye) and one in NIR (processed by a NIR camera).

    The dual wavelengths NIR/VIS is the first challenge.

    The second is the projection distance... between 10cm to 15cm.

    Hello Eric,

    Thank you for your  your patience. The chipset from the "Advance Light Control Portfolio " especially  the chipset designed for 3D scan and machine vision are best suited for your application:

    Visible products (420 to 700 nm) product selection | TI.com

    These chipset are designed for visible wavelength 420nm to 700nm. It will also work at 810/ 880 nm with slightly lower efficiency.

    The chipset can support only up to 3 channels. You have to replace one of the channel (for example blue) with NIR.  The DLP2010LC DMD along with DLPC3470 controller will offer to most compact solution.

    Please downloads the "DLP-OMM-SEARCH — Optical module search tool" from the following page:

    The "Light Control" tab has light of available optical module for these chipsets.  Please review  DLP2010 module "Near-Infrared + Green"  from EKB.

    This module could meet your requirement.
