DLPLCR90EVM: Output Trigger

Part Number: DLPLCR90EVM

Hi,

Good Day.

Customer problem happens when he wants to output trigger 1 signal of DLPC900EVM board from its J24 port. From pin 1 / pin 2 and pin 3, all he can get is a DC voltage (3V or 1.8V). However, he can get correct trigger 2 pulses when using pin 4/ pin 5 and pin 6. He have J21, J19, J22, J25 jumpers connected, so he have no idea what happened to his setup.

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hello Ray,

I think this is probably a misunderstanding of what Trigger 1 output does.  As a test have them add two 1-bit patterns to the Pattern On-the-Fly Mode and set the Exposure time to "2000" (2 ms) and the Dark Time to "1000" (1 ms)  Then look at the output when they update the LUT and run in repeat mode..  They should see a 2 ms pulse with a low time of 1 ms between each pulse.  This output is "high" during the "exposure" time.  If there is no dark time it will always be high.
