Does the DLP670S have the same DMD parking requirements with the DLPC900 that the DLP6500 DMD has?

yes see DLPU018H section 2.3.1.1 Power Mode - Standby mode.

Per DLPU018H - 2.3.1.2 - Park/Unpark command is no longer recommended except for debugging purposes.

I am thinking about when there is an unplanned power loss.

Does it self-park?

Yes the customer must follow the guidelines on connecting PWRLOSS and PWRGOOD with the correct amount of power holdup capacity for the DLPC900 to complete the required power down sequence. see DLPC900 data sheet, section 6.7.2 Power-Down
