DLPC900: does not boot up properly

Part Number: DLPC900
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP9000

The DLPLCR900EVM does not boot up properly when connected to power.

The D8 '+12V GOOD' and D9 'POWERGOOD' LEDs are supposed to turn green when connected to power but only the D8 one does. Following this the D6 LED is supposed to be toggling on and off indicating the DLPC900 controller successfully booted up but it doesn't, indicating there is problems with booting up.

I have connected the evaluation module to a +12V power supply as indicated.

Please let me know if you can help.

Many thanks,

Valentina

  • Hi Valentina,

May I know which DMD board you are using for the DLPC900 controller board?

Depending on which board you are using, I recommend you look at the DLP6500 / DLP9000 User Guide if you have either DLPLCR6500 or DLPLCR9000 boards for the controller. There is a Quick Start guide on page 18 you may view.

May you also check if the HOLD boot jumper is in the correct position? The link above has the following to say about the DLP9000, for example:

The hold boot jumper information can be found in sections 1.5 and 1.6 for the DLP6500 and DLP9000, respectively.

Please let me know if this resolves your issue or if the issue persists.

    Regards,
    Michael Ly
