DLP4500: Laser bean steering with DMD problem

Hello, I want to make the DMD chip work which means use PC and coding to control the angle of micromirror to let the laser steer, so I wonder which product should I buy for my research, thank you.

Hello Jesse,

DMD is Spatial Light Modulator. It can module the light at pixel level. The mirrors in DMD have only two states ON and OFF. The light can be steered to two angles only. You cannot modulate or steer the angle of the light.

Thank you for your reply, I still have a question is that if I want to use the reference code in SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT (SDK) for DLP450, in the PLD solftware which place should I modify or add these reference code. I found the file for ''GUI'', is this place what i'm looking for? thank you.

Hello, my silftware is DLP LightCrafter4500, the work interface is as follow.

This file is what I mention above.

And I have another question is that if I let the laser beam insert to the DMD, the reflection laser beam will be deflection by the small glass on the DMD micromirror , so shouid I remove that glass?

I believe you are referring the window on the top of DMD. It is an integral part of the device and helps create the inside environment which allow DMD mirror to operate for long time. The DMD device cannot be used without windows.

It is very difficult to answer this question. I would first start with GUI as it and make changes as needed.
