DLP3010EVM-LC: GUI error

Hello Jonathan,

Does the EVM still project when turned on even when this message appears? What version of the GUI is being used? What version of the FW is being used?

Can you try reflashing the EVM with the original FW again. You can just have the EVM connected to power and the switch in the OFF position.

Please tell us if this issue still happens after the instructions given.

What is the status of the D1 LED on the board? Does the LED drive high or low? Does it maintain this state?

Led D1 status is high continuously. projection switch in the on and off positions.

Does the DMD ribbon cable seem loose to you as well?

Hello Jonathan,

We have found that the FW image is more likely to have issues when flashed while the main switch is in the on position. We strongly advise that this is done correctly.

There are also some vias on the EVM for VBIAS, VOFFSET, and VRESET. Can they tell us what voltages they are seeing here?

Is there any chance that FW for the DLPDLCR3010EVM-G2 was used instead of the FW for this EVM?

Here is the customer's answer.

Hello Jonathan,

For flashing the EVM:

1.) Plug the EVM to the 19V PS.

2.) Connect your PC to the EVM with a USB cable

3.) Open the GUI and go to the FW update page

4.) Update the FW

I managed to project the splash screen again by reflashing, but the connection to the gui program has not returned.

Hello Jonathan,

Has the client used the Advanced page inside of the GUI? There is a section called Connection can they report the status of this page? If the EVM is showing as disconnected then select the connect button.

If they go to commands -> test patterns and try one of the test patterns what happens?
