Hi Experts,
Would like to ask assistance from you:
Is there any DMD chip with the DLP3310 socket and with 4k resolution?
If not, do you recommend any available socket for DKP3310? I couldn't find it from its EVM reference.
Thank you.
Regards,
Archie A.
Hello Archie.
Welcome back to the forum.
Can you speak more on this request? Are you hoping to fit a 4K DMD into a DLP3310 system, being controlled by a DLPC3437?
Depending on your goal, you might find the Flex Cable Design Files on the DLPDLCR3310 product page or the design files on TIDA-080000 useful.
Regards,
Austin
Hi Austin,
Sorry for the late response as customer just responded:
I would like to fit a 4K DMD system into a DLP3310 system socket. but I don't know if it's possible. The Dmd chip socket belongs to a fengmi Formovie R1 brand projector. and I would like to know what chips you have available with that socket and what maximum resolution it could give.
Thank you.
Regards,
Archie A.
Archie,
Unfortunately this will not be possible with the 3310 system. The controller driving the DMD (the DLP3437) is limited to a 1080p resolution. We have systems capable of 4K (see the DLP471TP), but these components have a differing size.
At the 0.33 size, such as the 3310, the maximum resolution available is 1080p.

Austin
Hello Austin,
Apology for the delayed update.
Customer responded:
I didn't want to alarm so much, sorry. I continue then along this line of conversation. I just wanted to ask for a software or tool that allow me to fix one locked micromirror. There was a sudden disengagement of the electrical network and a pixel went blank. I know I can change the DMD chip for a new one, but currently with only one white dot, it seems excessive.

Hi Archie,
Unfortunately there is no software or tool that can recover this DMD. The sudden loss of power caused a failure where the mirror's hinge has been damaged beyond use.

Austin
