DLP3010EVM-LC: Error using Display Settings options from the GUI

Hi, 

I have installed DLP-EVM-GUI-3.1.0.7-Setup.exe and when I connect the DLP Evaluation Module it connects correcty and I can see the default image. Also I can get its information.

Then, if I use the 'Patterns and Images' option from Display Menu it works correctly too.

And my problem starts when I try to use the 'Display Settings' options. If I try to change for example the image orientation I stop viewing the image and if I try to change anything more I can even view corrupted image.

Do I have any uncorrect version? Do I have to update anything? Am I connecting anything in a wrong way?

    Hello Leticia,

    Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP® technology!

    Before you changing any settings in the "Display settings" page, you can click "Get" to know the default firmware settings. The Long-axis flip and Short-axis flip should be set in default. You can change image orientation by clicking "Set".

    Also, you should be careful to edit "Crop Input Image" and "Scale Input Image to Size" for splash screens to be loaded properly. For example, when write image crop, it makes more sense to set the crop size parameter smaller than the size of the input image. 

    I would recommend you to review the DLPC3478 Software Programmer's Guide from section 3.1.10 to 3.1.15, and other sections as needed. 

    The firmware loaded in your EVM is v8.0.0, although there is no issue shown on the Display Settings features, but I recommend you to update the firmware to latest v8.0.1 from TI DLP Pico Firmware Selector tool for further development.

    Hi,

    that's the solution. After getting data by Get button I can change the parameters and see correct image with the Set button.
