Hi Experts,
Good day! We need your assistance with our customer's inquiry below.
I have a short question, in the DLPC2607 datasheet (https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/dlpc2607), page 11 it states that the DLPC's I2C addresses can either be 0x36 0x37 or 0x3A 0x3B, depending on whether TSTPT_7 is pulled up or down.
However, In the Lightcrafter User Guide DLPU049C states that: "Typically, the DLPC2607 is located at address 0x1b"
I'm just wondering which one I should go with.
The pin is described as a bit strange too. The block of text says to leave it unconnected but then states that, depending on whether there is a pull-up or a pulldown that changes the I2C address
Test pin 7 and I
2C address selection – Sampled as an input test mode
selection control upon release of RESET, and then driven as an output.
Includes weak internal pulldown.
Normal use: Reserved for test output. Leave open or unconnected for typical
use.
Alternative use: Not yet defined.
This pin is sampled upon deassertion of RESET to determine I
2C address
selection. DLPC2607 I
2C address is set corresponding to the sampled input
value as follows:
I guess, now that I look at it again it makes more sense. There's an internal pulldown.
Best regards,
Jonathan
