Hello everyone,

I have encountered some trouble in long-term using DLP3010 projector according to DLP3010LC-EVM.

When working with trigger in mode by a camera or other controller, at first, the DLP3010 display is normall and Trig2_out signal is correct.

But after a long time, perhaps a few days, the graphics captured by camera become wrong and continue until power cycle the system.

Immediately, I Measured the signals Trig_in and Trig2_out with oscilloscope and the screenshot as below.

The bule line of channel 2 is Trig_in wave form and the yellow line of channel 1 is Trig2_out wave form.

So I think the internal pattern streaming displayed by DLP3010 projector run into incorrect state.

Hello Yang,

As far as I recall, you have posted an E2E thread (https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp-products-group/dlp/f/dlp-products-forum/1192876/dlp3010-dlp3010/4502749?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=%2520user%253A531971#4502749) on DLP3010EVM-LC regarding the issue that the projector stops displaying the internal pattern after continuing running the system for a period of time.

I think it could be the same issue as our team are aware of a known firmware issue after running the system for a period of time. Our team is still working on the process of releasing a newer firmware version. The firmware should be able to be released on ti.com soon.

Yes, you are right. I have asked for stopping display the internal pattern after a long-term continuing running the DLP3010 system with more than one pattern set. Now I only configured one pattern set, so the projector could continuely running with the wrong display sequence.

I am not sure whether they are the same issue. I have been looking forward to the newer firmware version.

Hello Yang,

The scope capture that you have shared is it after you power cycle the system or before the power cycle when the pattern display doesn't work as expected?

If I powered cycle the system, the Trig_IN and Trig2_out of DLP3010 projector are correct and the dispaly is normal.

But after working for a period of time, the issue as above described may reappear.

Thank you for the information. If power cycle can resolve the issue, then this should be a known firmware issue.

You will be able to test on your system with our upcoming newer firmware version.
