DLP4710EVM-LC: An image file for disabled LEDs on booting sequence

Part Number: DLP4710EVM-LC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPDLC-GUI

Hi there,

Can I have an image file that disable the LEDs on booting sequence?

I'd like to disable LEDs when I press the power switch and turn on/off the LEDs later.

Or if I can achieve this using a batch file, please advise me how to do it.

Thank you in advance.

Best,

Yun

  • Hello Yun,

Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP® technology.

Can you please share more details about your requirement? How do you intent to use the EVM?

Do you want to leave the LEDs physically connected to the system? If yes, then I would recommend you to use firmware version 8.1.1_RED_LED_ONLY on DLP Pico Firmware selector tool to test the system first.

You should able to use DLPDLC-GUI -> Firmware -> Edit Firmware -> Advanced tool to upload a batch file with RGB LED disabled. Please refer to DLPC3479 Software Programmer's Guide section 3.3.3 Write RGB LED Enable (52h).

However, there are some issues with the Edit Firmware tool in GUI. Our team is working on fixing and will release a new version soon.

    Regards,

    Lori
