DLPC900: Naming Conventions for DLP900 Downloads

Part Number: DLPC900

Can you tell me the difference between a DLP900REFSW download and a DLPR900PROM Download?

Which should I use to upgrade teh firmware?

I have  the following downloads

DLPC900REFSW-5.0.0-windows-installer.zip*
DLPC900REFSW-5.1.0-windows-installer.zip*
DLPR900PROM-5.0.1-windows-installer.zip*
DLPR900PROM-6.1.0-windows-installer.zip*

  • Hello Andrew,

    DLPC900REFSW contains:

    1. QT based GUI and the source code. This is used to communicate with the controller. The source code is provided so that the user can customize it as required or use it as a reference to create their own interface.
You can also find sample images and sample batch files here to begin your development.
    2. JTAG tool which allows a user to program the bootloader image into the flash using the JTAG boundary scan connector if, for example, the bootloader becomes corrupted and the board is rendered inoperable.
    3. EDID files which can be programmed to the DLPC900 according to the DMD you are controlling.
    4. FPGA binary, for dual DLPC900 controllers.

    DLPC900PROM contains:

    1. OOB(Out-Of-the-Box) flash images that is provided so that the users can begin their evaluation and build upon this base FW.
Please take care to program the correct flasg image according to your DMD type.

You can find much more information in the Dual DLPC900 controller user guide - https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/DLPU102

I would recommend you use DLPC900REFSW-5.1.0 and DLPC900PROM-6.1.0 since they are the latest releases.

    With regards,

    Thank you,
    Aishwarya
