We purchased the DLP4710EVM-LC, and would like to know if you can provide the firmware of the MSP430 used on the board, and also the source code. We believe that would help us a lot in developing our own projector by giving some reference to start from and would speed up the whole development process.

The code for the MSP430 can be found on the TI.com at the address here. The firmware for the DLPC3479/ DLP4710EVM-LC will also be available in the same section of the page provided before.

Hello John,

Let me elaborate on my confusion.

If we developed a new PCB ,it use the same principle with the EVM but is smaller, can we use the firmware that download for here to realize the same function with the DLP4710EVM-LC ? I don’t know whether we need another firmware for MSP430 ?

Hello User,

There is FW for the DLPC3479 and a separate FW for the MSP430.

If you are using your own custom design and not a EVM you should use the FW (DLPC3479) from this location. This is what the EVM FW is based on.

The MSP430 is for the HDMI input as it configures the ITE IC onboard. It has its own code available through TI.com.
