DLPC410: Replacing the DMD 1076-6318W

Part Number: DLPC410
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP7000, DLPLCR70EVM

Hi Team, supporting a customer.

Replacing the DMD 1076-6318W on our DLP4100. The new DMD we were able to get is 1076-6319W. I have followed some of the instructions on this forum:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp-products-group/dlp/f/dlp-products-forum/664420/dlpc410-trouble-replacing-a-dmd-1076-6318w-with-a-1076-6329w

However, when I go into the DLPC410 Control menu, I don't see any changes when I toggle any of the options.

So I just wanted to check whether or not the DMD 1076-6319W is compatible with the DLP4100, or if there is something else wrong with our device.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hello Mark,

We will need to check on our end if this is a supported DMD.  Please allow a day or two to investigate.

Where was the DMD obtained?  What DMD does the GUI report is attached when it is connected?

  • Mark,

This part appears to an OEM DMD that does not work with the D4100 platform.  Even a chip marked 1076-6318W, will likely not work, especially if it is for "projector replacement".  This type X DMD is no longer made.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

It is now possible to purchase just a DMD EVM that will work with the D4100 board.  The DLP7000 DMD is also XGA, but is a hermetic package and has an array diagonal of 0.7".  If that DMD could work for you then the EVM to buy would be the DLPLCR70EVM which will attach directly to your D4100 board.
