DLP3010EVM-LC: Internal Pattern Streaming

Hi Team,

Customer is trying to display a series of Gray Patterns which consists of 20 horizontal patterns and 22 vertical patterns. They loaded the patterns into the DLP, then they tried to display the patterns with “Run Continuously” and “Pause” it so that they can “Step” the projected patterns and observe them one by one. However, they observed that only the first two images from the Pattern Sets were successfully displayed. FYI, those images are in resolution of 1280x720.

In fact, the behavior started to appear after they successfully displayed the full series of patterns for several times. Then, they proceeded to explore other features available on the software such as External Pattern, Splash Pattern Displays and etc.. After that, then they visited again the Internal Pattern Display and discovered the behavior descripted above. They are able to recover (sometimes) the full series displaying by recreating the pattern sets and reprogram it. However, it won`t be lasting until they power cycle the DLP.

Kindly advise is there anything they missed out and causing the behavior. Please let me know if you need extra information for troubleshooting.

Also do we have any new reference design for projector calibration with single camera and projector set up?

    Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP® technology.

    Based on the description, can I understand that they can recover displaying the entire internal patterns sets after power cycle the EVM? How long have they run the EVM to see the issue in internal pattern mode? 

    Do you know what the intermediate steps or operation mode they did to see only the first two patterns displayed in internal pattern mode? 

    I would suggest to set the system into Standby mode before running it into internal pattern mode. 

    I don't aware we have new reference design for projector calibration.
