DLP650LNIR: How can DLP Series infrared projectors be used in wide-angle structured light design

Part Number: DLP650LNIR

Dear engineer, hello!

Can DLP series infrared equipment be used for wide-angle structured light design with FOV above 120 degrees? If so, which projector would you recommend?

In addition to the DLP series infrared equipment, which equipment do we need to make it a structured light sensor? What other equipment do we need for these equipment? Can we buy it at Ti?

Thank you!

  • Hello Wdenxwa,

Welcome to DLP forum and thank you for interest in DLP technology. From my knowledge, there are no off-the-shelf projectors that offer wide-angle structured light at / above 120-degree FOV.

Although there might not be an off-the-shelf projector at the specified 120-degrees for Infrared devices, you can use the DLP Products optical module search tool, which will allow you to explore various optical engines available (possibly one that can achieve 120-degree FOV). Once you find an optical engine that specifies your requirements, you may reach out to the optical module manufacturers for sourcing your engine.

    Best,
