I am utilizing a DLP4710EVM-LC for projecting patterns. To ensure synchronization with a camera, I am employing trigger out 2 for internal patterns. Regrettably, there is a disparity between the output frequency and the designated exposure parameters. I have included an illustrative instance below: when configuring parameters for 30Hz, the oscilloscope records 33.1Hz instead. This discrepancy persists across various frequencies. Could you kindly provide insights into the potential causes of this issue?

Additionally, I am inquiring about the origin of the high-frequency noise apparent atop the trigger signal.

Hello user,

Can you please provide more detail on how you configure the design frequency of 30Hz? In the screenshot above, the frame rate should be 1/(5000+24000+1000)us = 33.3Hz. This is close to the oscilloscope measurement.

For the noise shown in the scope capture, it depends on how you measure the signal.

Thank you for the clarification. We see the mismatch at higher frequencies. Below we try to generate 500Hz but the reading on the oscilloscope is 467Hz.
Could you please elaborate on your response regarding the noise? Thank you for the help!

Hello,

Attached is a screen capture of our scope of trigger 1 and trigger 2 using the same settings you provided. 468Hz is expected given these settings, is this limitation okay for your application?

As for the noise, I would recommend reviewing your circuit ground connections or your oscilloscope settings.
