I'm looking for projects where people are using the Pico2 development kit for 3D scanning and point cloud generation. I'm very new to the subject but it seems to me that there are portions of the Pico's capabilities that were designed specifically for this use. It also seems to me that you should be able to do rapid, accurate scanning without having to have any sort of reference background.
If anyone is doing this sort of thing, I would be very interested to know what kind of camera they are using and what software they are using to capture the data and generate the point cloud. Software that can then convert the point cloud into a 3D mesh would be fantastic.
I am working on my own and so don't have a lot of money to purchase equipment and/or software. If anyone is using the Pico for a DIY 3D scanner, I would love to hear about it.
Thanks,
Mark
