Hi,
I am considering to use a Lightcrafter 4500 to project patterns.
I would like to send 24 bit images via HDMI (60 Hz) and display 1-bit image one by one, thus displaying patterns at the rate of 60*24=1440 Hz.
Could you tell me which mode should I use and a sequence example?

You can refer to section 3.3 which is pattern sequence mode.
In the GUI you can see below you can set the pattern source to video port and also adjust bit depth to 1 and construct your sequence accordingly.
You can also see an example of a pattern sequence in section 3.3.1.1.

First, how should I set the exposure time?
In the figure, I set it to 1/1440 Hz, which is equal to 694 microseconds. Is this correct?
Second, what does the frame index mean in this case?

For exposure time it is the following so that is dependent on your system needs and requirements.
Please refer to the user guide for frame index description shown below:
Have you tried sending and validating the sequence please see the following. It will help check if there are any errors. This is from section 3.3.1 from the datasheet.
