I am exploring configuration options available for the DLPC230, and discovered that the software provided is the "Lite" version of DLPC Control Program.
I found another forum post about a full version.
I'm not completely sure I need a full version of the software, I just haven't found a way to do what I am trying to yet. Essentially we need to set it up to control a single LED using input from HDMI. I have successfully tested HDMI input being projected using the included white LED. However, we want to project only a single color on the DMD, so we don't want to have all the dead time for the other channels that aren't being used.
