DLPC2607: DMD Identification Help

Part Number: DLPC2607
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP3310, DLP2000

I am trying to identify which DMD is in a projector I have been using. The recommended resolution when I plug it into my computer is 1360x768. This leads me to beleive that it's a DLP3310, but the drive electronics contains a DLP2607 chip. From my research, it doesn't look like those 2 devices are compatible.

Any help determining the DMD would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Patrick

  • Hello Patrick,

Welcome do the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP®.

The closest DMD to this size natively (without and XPR image) would be the DLP3310. However, the DLP3310 is a slightly differing size with a 1368x768 array size. As you have likely found, the DLPC2607 only drives the DLP2000 DMD, which has a 640x360 array size.

It may be that the projector has the 1360x768 programmed into its EDID, despite the DMD having a different size. Generally speaking you can find all of our DMDs here, but we cannot say with certainty that your projector has a specific DMD based on this data.

We may be able to assist if there is a specific reason for knowing which DMD you are using.

    Regards,
    Austin
