DLPC6540: DLP471TPEVM firmware backup failed

Part Number: DLPC6540

I want to backup firmware in DLP471TPEVM via USB. I am use DLP EVM GUI 3.2.0.6.

I can get EVM Information.But when I want to backup firmware, it tell me "Firmware Backup Failed. Failed to switch to flash programming mode."

Did I make a mistake?

Hello User,

What firmware is used in the EVM? Is that come with the EVM when you first receive or you have a custom firmware?

The firmware is come with the EVM when i first receive.

Hi User,

Please establish the USB connection first and then do a get to get the EVM software and firmware version properly.

The above image shared by you shows version as 0.0.0 which is not correct.

Also please use the latest firmware image v4.5.0 available on ti.com

Try placing the EVM in boot hold mode by connecting a jumper to the BOOT_HOLD pin of the controller and then doing a firmware backup.
