DLPA2000: What is the LED current spike on the VLED line?

Hi,

When measuring power consumption, I put a current probe on the green VLED line.(LED red/blue are turned off)

This is what I get:

What is the 760mA peak in red rectangle? Is it something like transient current?

Your image does display a transient current spike on your green LED. Transient current limit is set as one value for all three LEDs and cannot be customized between colors. Your overshoot amount can vary per color but the overshoot seen in your image is expected.

I see a register on dlpa2000 on the datasheet which can set the transient current limit.

Is it possible to set the register through dlpc3430 I2C interface? (reference dlpu020e.pdf "DLPC3430, DLPC3432, DLPC3433, DLPC3435 and
DLPC3438 Software Programmer's Guide")

Yes, the register can be accessed by I2C. EDIT: I apologize, I did not clarify enough. This change requires a new firmware image once the change has been made. The guide you attached will not be sufficient to enable the change. Please send me a friend request to discuss this further. Thank you.
