DLP4710EVM-LC: Connecting Trigger Out signals to external modalities for device synchronization

Part Number: DLP4710EVM-LC

Hello Forum,

I'm a beginner and I'm attempting to synchronize my DLP4710EVM-LC with a 2100MEA system using the dlp's trigger out 2. I know I need above two volts for the TTL signal and so I must connect pin 2 from J48 to J7 via jumper wire to have trigger out set to 3.3 volts so it's of the appropriate threshold.

My question is what connectors are necessary to send these trigger signals from the DLP to the MEA? Do I simply use a jumper wire connected to pin 4 of J48 and connect that to the MEA by some method of converters? Or can the TTL signals be sent through the usb port and the J48 pins are only used to adjust the signal levels.

I greatly appreciate any help.
