Hello,
I am currently working on loading the APPSFPGA code onto a Digital Micromirror Device (DMD). When I use the downloadAppsFPGACode function to load a bin file, the function returns 0. This issue persists across multiple bin files, including the main file provided by TI and other bin files. Consequently, the D2 LED on the DMD lights up red.
Could you provide any advice on why this might be happening and how to troubleshoot this issue effectively?

    Hello Noble,

    Can you tell me which revision of the board you have or take a picture of the topside of the board?

    The latest board that uses SPI PROM to load the FPGA cannot load bin files over USB.  This was a required configuration change to allow the SPI PROM to work.

    Thank you for the response Fizix!

    I will get you that picture as soon as I can. In the meantime, I would assume we have the latest board. What would I need to do to load the file correctly?

    Hello again Noble,

    You would need the Xilinx Impact tool to take your bin file and create a *.mcs file to load into the SPI PROM -- or -- you will need to change the FPGA configuration pins to allow the bin file to be loaded and in addition there are some 0 ohm resistors that would have to be moved so that the SPI PROM is disabled.

    I suggest doing the first method, but make sure you have the default *.mcs file before blowing it away.

    Hello Noble,

    This looks to be a Rev B board.  On this board to program the SPI PROM you will need to remove some 0 Ohm resistors to load the PROM and replace them afterward.  It also appears that you have a memory chip, so I assume that you are planning to make a memory controller in the APPS_FPGA.
