DLPC3421: why does DLP only accept LVDS/CSI input

Part Number: DLPC3421

Tool/software:

Hi team,

my customer is curious why our DLP controllers can't accept front-end interface such as HDMI and DP?

what's DLP controller limitation behind this?

  • Hello User,

Usually clients have a frontend IC that will convert from one interface to another. This has allowed our controllers to be cheaper and allow for customers to have a wider selection of solutions for their needs. The controller is able to accept a lot of video input formats and it allows to user to decide on how they would like to implement.

    Best,

    John
