Part Number: DLPDLCR3310EVM

Tool/software:

Hello, today when I was driving the DLPDLCR3310EVM, I encountered the problem that the DMD could not start normally. I then referred to the following website's methods, but it still didn't work. Please provide us with a solution. Thank you.

  • Hello User,

Welcome back to the E2E forums and we hope to assist you with your questions.

Can you please answer the following so we can better debug the issue.

    1.

Has there been any hardware modifications or software modifications to the system? Are the fans running on the system?

    2.

Can you check if green LED D6 and D7 are both on and D8 and D9 should both be off on the top of the board?

    3.

Can you check if blue LEDs D1 and D7 are on that are located on the bottom board, these are the 5v and 3.3v rail LEDs to indicate power rails are working.

    4.

Can you connect and read the status information of the EVM from the GUI such as the following below?

    Regards,

    Alex Chan

  • Hello, I checked the parts you mentioned one by one today, and the results are as follows:

    3.

Yes, D1 and D7 on the bottom circuit board are both lit.

    4.

When I connect the screen looks like this:

Please provide possible reasons for the problem and effective solutions as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

  • Hello User,

    Thank you for the information.

The Green LEDs D8 and D9 should have turned off on the top board it looks like the system may be stuck in boot mode if they are still on.

I know you already looked at the following e2e ticket but I had some further comments:

    https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp-products-group/dlp/f/dlp-products-forum/1170082/faq-dlpc3430-corrupted-flash-debug

Please keep in mind step 2 to keep the projector on switch in the "off" position.

Also keep in mind step 3a to pick dlp4710evm-lc because the dlpdlcr3310evm is also dual controller.

Please try this firmware should be version 7.1.2.

    Regards,

    Alex Chan

  • Hello, I have operated the DLPDLCR3310EVM based on your reply today, just like I did before. Unfortunately, it is still invalid. After restarting, D8 and D9 are still on.
The following is my EVM Selection:

The following is the file I selected for Flash Firmware:

Please provide other effective solutions as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

  • Hello, after subsequent attempts to no avail, I tried to replace the original DMD flex cables with another DMD flex cables. Happily, it worked. I would like to share my experience with you here, thank you Alex Chan.
