DLP2000: DLP2607 can't boot with Beaglebone Black

Tool/software:

I am using the DLP LightCrafter Display 2000 EVM (DLPU049C) and a BeagleBone Black.

So the module will boot when it is powered individually, but not when it is connected to the beaglebone (powered or unpowered).

When I try to boot the DLP2607 EVM on the beaglebone, the D2 LED comes on, indicating that the HOST_IRQ is high.

What is going on? Could it be a hardware issue? Software?
