DLP4710EVM-LC: Operating issue (SO 242224)

Dear Support Team,

The customer has issued that part#DLP4710EVM-LC is not working correctly. Could you please review the description below and advise? Please let me know if additional information is needed. Thanks.

the customer said LED switch doesn't work.

Also when the customer pressed LED switch, the board operated abnormal (As per the customer, it was operated different with a manual)

  1. After the customer connected DLP to GUI, it informed 'Power off'
  2. 2. The customer couldn't control DMD by GUI.

 How the customer operated the board : When the customer turned on the switch (sw28),  D43 and D57 diode were turn on ( this is normal)

But when the customer turned on switch(sw21), D57 was turned off.

Also D56 was turned off after flicker, then D57 was turned on again.

D33 and D34 didn't work as well.

    Hi Dan,

    Assuming the customer has not taken the board apart or messed with any of it's connections. This is most likely a hardware issue which will be difficult to resolve remotely.  You may try the following: 

    • Verifying all electrical connections are good
    • Verifying DLPA voltages come up correctly according to Figure 7-1. Powerup Timing of (link)
    • Reflashing the system with latest firmware.

    Otherwise we would recommend requesting an RMA.
