DLP3021-Q1: DLP-Composer's 60Hz Frequency Settings

Part Number: DLP3021-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP2021-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

Can DLP Composer be set to 60Hz? According to the specifications (DLPU106A), the DMD in DLP3021-Q1 supports 60Hz.

However, I encounter errors with these settings:

1. VCM_FRAME_RATE set to 666666

2. Sequence Frame Rate set to 60

3. Using a 60Hz video

4. Error encountered...

Do DLP3021-Q1 and DLP2021-Q1 only work at 25Hz?

Are all files from DLP Composer restricted to 25Hz?

Best.

Johns

  • Hello Johns,

Both DLP2021-Q1 and DLP3021-Q1 support 60Hz frame rate. We recently released the Composer projects that support 60Hz under Software development section of the DLP3021-Q1 product page. Please try to import this project.

    Regards,

    Lori

  • Hi Lori,

Thanks for your reply. The DLP3021_DGP_RGB_60Hz project built fine, but the projected image has issues.

The files look okay after building. Any suggestions?

PS. The DLP3021_DGP_RGB_25Hz project works normally.

    Best,

    Johns

  • Hi Johns,

    Thank you for the information!

We will need to look into your issue and get back to you by the end of next week.

    Regards,

    Lori

  • Hi Johns,

Are you able to use the default FlashImage_60Hz_Baseline.img file from the download folder and display the default racecar video properly?

    Regards,

    Lori

  • Hi Lori,

Flashing FlashImage.img from the new DLP3021_DGP_RGB_60Hz project without building still results in the same issue.

    25Hz 60Hz
    Original project .img OK NG
New .img from rebuild OK NG

I'm using the project file from the DLP3021-Q1 website.

Could it be related to the Composer version?

PS: The issue with the DLP3021_DGP_RGB_60Hz project is like using DLP2021 FW with DLP3021.

    Best,

    Johns

  • Hi Lori,

    Any news? Thanks.

  • Hi Johns,

It looks like my colleagues might be out of office. Let me connect with them on Monday.

    Thank you for your patience,
