Hi,

We use the DLP4710LC/ DLPC3479/ DLPA3005 in out AOI equirement and now we want to TI support the below issue:

1) There are about 3% of DLP products made with DLP4710LC have been found to have noticeable flickering in both the LED and DMD when in Display mode,

whether in Test Pattern or Splash mode. Under normal circumstances, the human eye should see it as almost always on. Is this problem caused by welding issues or defects in the DLP chip?

2) The firmware provided by TI has limited support for custom features. In order to fully utilize the powerful capabilities of DLP, can TI provide custom firmware services

1. I'm not sure what the issue is that is causing this. Could you advise if this is based on returns you have seen? I'll reach out to my team to discuss this but I'm not aware of this at the time.

2. We provide default firmware for most of the things customers are going to need here - https://software-dl.ti.com/dlp/pico-fw-selector/. If customers need specific changes in the firmware, yes, they can reach out to us here through E2E.

Hello Zhang,

1. We will be releasing a firmware shortly that should address this issue for the DLPC3479 controller / DLP4710LC DMD.

2. I recommend customers to check that software page first as we try and make accessible many firmware offerings to mitigate them having the need to reach out. We do and will continue to work with customers on and off E2E - public forum - as necessary.
