DLPC3479: TRI_OUT2 has no output

Part Number: DLPC3479
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4710LC, , DLPA3005

Tool/software:

Hello!
I'm using External Pattern Mode, 8-bit monochrome patterns。
I'm uses the PARALLEL RGB interface, the timing is RGB888, and the external input is 1920*1080@60hz.
The hardware architecture is dlpc3479 + dlpa3005 + dlp4710lc.
The DLP4710LC can display pictures normally, but TRI_OUT1 has output, while TRI_OUT2 has no output
The following is the register I configured, and the corresponding value, to help me see if there is a problem。
ADDR value
8'h92 8'h02,8'h00,8'h04,8'h00,8'h00
8'h92 8'h03,8'h00,8'h00,8'h00,8'h00
8'h96 8'h02,8'h03,8'h00,8'hA2,8'h14,8'h00,8'h00,8'hE8,8'h00,8'h00,8'h00,8'h29,8'h00,8'h00,8'h00
8'h05 8'h03

Thank you very much!

  • Hello,

If run your settings though the GUI, it should be helpful to see if you have issues.

According to the GUI, the minimum supported Pre-exposure Dark Time in us is 352 and the minimum supported Post-exposure Dark Time in us is 63.

Although this is the case, the release notes clearly show that during External Pattern you should be able to utilize a Pre-exposure Dark time of 171 us and a Post-exposure Dark time of 31 us.

I'll talk with my time about this this, but could you increase your timing to within the parameters and see if it runs fine?

I've tested this and the system works - the caveat is I ran with just a blue LED, but this setting shouldn't change with just a mounted DMD to external LEDs you are utilizing.

    Best,

    Aaron
