Tool/software:
My projector has suddenly started to break, it first started with random artifacts across the display such as black and white pixels randomly across the screen in vertical lines.
Now over night, upon trying to turn the projector on the fans and two leds turn on, but upon pressing the button to turn the projector on, it briefly flashes the reset led twice then does nothing.
I've tried a firmware update and have no idea what's happened.
I received this as a gift two days ago, of which it was working flawlessly.
Hello User,
When you saw artifacts in the display were you using the splash pattern, test pattern, or an external video source? Of these three mode did the artifact only appear in one?
Did you try and update the firmware before or after seeing image artifacts in the display? Which version of the FW are you currently using? Which tool are you using to update the FW for the EVM?
Best,
John
Hey, it was for everything so I assume the DLP had broke, though not a huge issue it can be replaced. But the night after it failed to turn on. I tried a different power supply. And also three firmware upgrades none worked.
Hello User,
I need detailed information to troubleshoot this behavior. Can you provide the FW v#(s) that were used and which GUI was used to update the EVM?
Best,
John
Hey, so I tried installing it with the 4710 EVM GUI. It seems every time it says it completed.
The firmwares were these two:
Hi Aydin,
Please connect the EVM via USB to the computer with the EVM GUI and then on the Information Page do a "get" and post a screenshot here.
Best,
Maximus
Aydin,
Please use the dlpc3439_firmware. On this page there is a GUI, https://www.ti.com/tool/DLPDLCR160CPEVM. It was designed for another EVM but I have tested that it can reprogram your EVM.
Please use this GUI to flash your EVM. You just need to make sure that under the debug section your unit shows as connected. Go to the FW section and select the 3439 firmware and start reprogramming.
Best,
John
