DLP4621Q1EVM: Inquiry on Waveform of LEDS' Drivng Current at DLP4621Q1EVM's HL Driver

Part Number: DLP4621Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3409

Tool/software:

Hi Teams,

I would like to ask several questions regarding forward currents of LEDs at DLP4621Q1EVM's HL Driver.

I measured the maximum current of LEDs' peak current using multimeter as follows.

The maximum current differs for each channel, even though peripheral circuit of LM3409 is same on the circuit diagrm.

Q1. Could you let us know which makes the difference in max current for each chanel? (LED1: ~1A, LED2: ~3A, LED3: ~8A)

It seems that the duty of forward current changes when adjusting the transition rate and illumination bin below.

Q2. Could you explain the meaning of transition rate and illumination bin and related fomulras?

As shown below, I connected the R/G/B laser diode to each chanel of Hl driver, and measured the waverform of current and voltage.

Previously, R/G/B LED duty is segmented sequentially to express color with bit sequencing at DMD which I used before.

However, the LED-related current waveforms of DLP4621EVM don't seem to be segmented into R/G/B within the period (1/60Hz = 16.67 ms).

Q3. Could you explain how color represiontaion is acheived in DLP462xEVM?
