1. Is this a TI evaluation module? May I ask why you would be reprogramming the bootloader?
2. Please confirm if the DLPC900 is powered on and the LEDs D8 and D9 are ON.
3. Can you please share a picture of your setup? And a screen capture of the JTAG Flash Programmer application.

1, Yes, it is DLPLCRC900EVM board. I am using your board to verify JTAG Flash Programmer setup.

The reason for doing this is that I have designed a dual-controller DMD board. As my board is a new board that has new flashes so it needs the bootloader loaded through the JTAG interface. Unfortunately, my JTAG Flash Programmer is unable to detect the DMD controllers, so I would like to verify my JTAG Flash Programmer is working as expected.

2, Yes, the DLPLCRC900EVM is powered and D8, D9 are ON.

3, Please find the photos and screenshots attached for your reference.

• The programmer appears as COM8 and USB Serial Converter on my laptop, the driver is downloaded from FDTI website, the driver version is 2.12.36.4, the default baud rate is 9600, I also tried with 115200 and it is still not working. Do I need to configure the COM port for your JTAG Flash Programmer please?
• The #2 and #3 pins of J1 and J2 of my UM232H are shorted.

It looks like DLPC900 Reset jumper (J9) is not installed in the picture. Can you please install the jumper and try again?

I just tried again with J9 ON and re-powered the board, and it is still not working. Do you believe my VCP driver is the right version to work with your JTAG Flash Programmer please?

I have used the FTDI setup executable before - https://ftdichip.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/CDM212364_Setup.zip

This version should be alright. Please allow me some time to check with the system I have in the lab. I will give you an update tomorrow.

I have tried with the FTDI VCP driver version that you are using. The controller is detected.

Can you please confirm once again that the #2 and #3 pins of J1 and J2 of my UM232H are shorted? From the picture, it looks like only J1 pins are shorted. I do not see any other issues with your setup.

The Baud Rate screenshot was captured today, the other two screenshots were captured two days ago. The COM port changed from COM8 to COM7 today.

My colleague and I reviewed the connections again. It looks like there is a small mistake.

Please swap the TDI and TDO1 connections and let me know if it works. I understand that this is a common mistake and we must provide better explanation in the user manual.
