Hello!
I'm not sure what I'm looking at here.
With vertical lines like this, it looks like a hardware issue is occurring and possibly a cable is having an issue, possibly check the connections?
Could you advise if you are using our provided EVM? I'm very lost here without enough information I can't do much.
Best,
Aaron
Hello,
Have you tried to go through the Quick Start portion of the DLP3010EVM-LC EVM User's Guide?
Also, what was happening just before this image started to be displayed and nothing else was shown? Were you trying to reprogram the firmware?
What version of firmware is on the EVM now? Go to the EVM GUI 'Information' tab and press 'Get' while it is on and image is being displayed. The bottom left of the GUI should show "EVM Status: Connected ...", something like this:

Aaron
Hello,
Thank you for including an image of the GUI and EVM Information! I can't see the EVM status at the bottom left, but does it seem like your EVM needs to be updated to the latest software.
Please select the DLP3010EVM-LC (DLPC3478 controller) within the Firmware Selector Tool - v9.2.0. Your version is very out of date or possibly someone programmed it incorrectly with a different controller firmware?? How long ago was this EVM purchased?
Please also update the EVM GUI (DLPDLC-GUI) to the latest 3.2.0.7 version from the DLP3010EVM-LC ti.com page here.
After all software and firmware has been gathered, please reflash the EVM using the Firmware / Flash Firmware page of the GUI to update to the latest.
Please use the DLPDLC-GUI User's Guide as a reference as well, this will enable you further.
Best,
Aaron
Hello,
Was the EVM ever working previously?
It looks like the wrong pinmapping is sent to the EVM. The firmware selection you should have selected would have been FWSel_DLPC3478_DLPA2005_pm1_i2c0x36_v9p2p0.img
When you reported this issue to E2E, January 20th 2025, is this the first time you've had this issue appear or had this issue been seen prior to this time?
Best,
Aaron
Hello,
I'm not sure what issue happened. Could you please detail what happened before this started occurring?
What other EVM have you tried, you're working with the DLP3010EVM-LC, right? Can you take a photo of your system? I've only seen photos of the bad image.
Best,
Aaron
Hello,
Thank you for the photo!
Could you please detail what happened before this started occurring?
Additionally, you can try programming with this backup image.

Aaron

Hello,
I included it in the last message, you'll need to put that in the folder and then load it in. This is the 'Flash Firmware' tab of the GUI.

Hello,
Please share how you have ordered this board and any identification to track how it was ordered.

Hello,
Per the policy I am seeing, EVMs are not returnable: https://www.ti.com/ordering-resources/faqs/returns/policy.html
That being said, I'd like to check with my team and see what we can do. I won't guarantee anything as the policy is the policy.
The image just looks like it is the wrong pin mapping though, this is a very typical thing. Does the image flicker?
Best,
Aaron
