DLPC3479: Minimum value of Write RGB LED Max Current (5Ch)

Part Number: DLPC3479

Tool/software:

Hello TI contact,

I tried Green LED=0 and Blue LED = 0 of the Write RGB LED Max Current (5Ch) because green and blue LEDs are disable. However, Read RGB LED Max Current(5Dh) return both 91. Why does the case occur?

Regards,

  • Hello Uryyyy-san,

I have assigned this to the correct person, but it may be early next week before thay can get to this.

  • Hello Uryyyy-san,

The current 5Ch value does not control the LED being active. The lowest current for the LED to be reliably functioning is set as ~10% higher than the absolute lowest as this buffer removes some instability issues which are seen too close to the minimum activation of the LED.

If you'd like a single LED active (Red), I would suggest you get the latest firmware labeled as 'RED_LED_ONLY.' This is found on the firmware selector page.

    Best,

    Aaron
