Tool/software:
Hi Team,
Transfer at least 200MB of media files (video or pictures) over WIFI, where video files have no audio data.
Is it feasible to use SDIO (2.0) to access the external high-speed WIFI module? Consider transferring from an external wifi module. Since RAM in the current system does not support caching of the entire media file, consider segmented transmission and segmented writing to FLASH. Will this operation affect the transmission rate? Can you estimate the rate at which the file is transferred? And how can the local WIFI protocol stack be implemented?
Best regards,
Zane
Hi Zane,
Thank for reaching out.
I would recommend to direct this question to the Sitara team, (AM263x) since they will be better answer questions related to implementation of Wifi stack, and what data transmission protocols would be suitable.

Siddharth
Hi Siddharth,
could you help assign to the right person in Sitara team, thanks!
Best Regards,
Zane
Hello Zane,
I have re-assigned the thread to the SITARA MPU organization. Someone from that team will contact you soon. Thank you for your patience.

Hello Zane,
We haven’t done any designs yet involving a WiFi solution with AM26x. I am not sure where to start with this. We do have SDIO 2.0 on AM263x but I don’t know how that would then tie into a WiFi module.
Are we talking here about TI based Wi-Fi solutions?
As far as estimates of transfers etc. that’s not something we’ve looked into for this interface.
