Tool/software:
We are looking at a somewhat custom projector design from a TI partner, EKB, based on the DLP4710EVM-LC reference design. One of the major differences is that, rather than using the LED power/control circuits on the reference board, the LED will be powered/controlled from an external source. As such, the LED control on the reference board will go unused and disabled, at least to the point that it can be without interfering with the control of the DMD. While I have not been able to find any actual power requirement specifications for the reference design, I do see that the supply to the board needs to be able to deliver 19 volts and 4.74 amps for what looks to be a worst-case power dissipation (excluding the AC/DC power brick) of 90.06 watts. Our application is very-sensitive to heat dissipation so we need a number for the board itself.
Assuming the reference design does not need to power any LEDs, what are the maximum and typical power requirements for the rest of the board?
Also, if it matters to the answer about power dissipation, the image displayed will be for all intents and purposes, a static image, only being changed once every 24 hours (or considerably more).
Thank you,
Warren
