DLP2021-Q1: Is it supported by the DLPC120-Q1 controller?

Hello,

This TIrex page (link) says that the DLPC120-Q1 controller supports DLP2021-Q1. However, the DLPC120-Q1 datasheet does not list the DLP2021-Q1 among its supported devices.

Could you please confirm that both are compatible? If not, is there a DLPC controller that supports DLP2021-Q1?

Francois, this is a mistake to have this on TIREX. There is some technical possibility here, but it is limited in how it is used. Basically, you have to send data to the DLPC120 in WVGA format (DLP3021), but only make the image area the size of DLP2021 with black pixels everywhere else.

Is this a use case that customers are interested?

Hi Jason,

Thank you. Customer only wanted to understand which controllers would be possible along with DLP2021-Q1. So that's an FPGA or a PRU-emabled solution like AM2632. Let's close this thread.

Hi Francois,

Yes the FPGA and AM2632 are both the validated methods for driving the DLP2021. There maybe a path longer term for the DLPC120, but we have not validated or worked through how to support it yet. That it is why it was on a roadmap slide.
