Is it possible to achieve KHz frame update rates together with 1-bit image depth on DLP780NE?

How quickly can I update blocks and have them displayed on this device

Hello Stewart,

The DLP780NE is dependent on the DLPC4430 controller to function. The DLPC4430 only receives 8, 9, or 10 bits of color, you could send padded data but it only is expecting 8-bit data on Red, Green, and Blue lines.

Sorry, we cannot support more than 120Hz for Full HD (1920x1080) resolution.

do you have recommendations for a device/chipset that will allow us to achieve KHZ frame rates at single bit depth resolution?

Hello Stewart,

The DLPC900 or DLPC347x controllers are considered 'Light Control' controllers and are capable of high frame rates that utilize varying bit depth images. You can go through a full range of these kinds of devices here.
