Hello User,

If you have a firmware image from TI.com please flash it the the SPI FLASH connected to your controller on your board design. By default, the system should boot and make an image on the wall if there are no issues detected in the initialization process.

Hello John,

But I would like to ask if it is possible to provide software for self flashing firmware onto the board. We only found the firmware after the board was made, and we thought we could do self burning, but we couldn't find the flashing software tool.

Hello User,

The chipset require a SPI Flash IC. Any generic tool that can handle flashing the IC should be fine. For lab use, the team uses a Total Phase Cheetah and the GUI that comes along with it. This is an expensive option. There should be plenty of other cheaper alternatives that do this same job.

Hello John,

Thank you for your reply. We are currently trying and have found that the IMG file in the firmware downloaded from TI is damaged and cannot be directly burned. What is the reason for this? Is there a solution?

Display as:Unable to load file.The disc image file is damaged.

Please share the exact settings used in the FW Selector Tool. A picture will be fine. The team can look at the exact FW image and investigate.

May I ask if thisthe FW Selector Tool needs to be opened after signing an NDA agreement? I haven't found this tool on the official website yet. The application for signing the NDA agreement is currently underway.

The FW Selector Tool allows TI to share premade FW images with limited changes to meet customer needs for systems based on TI reference designs. There is nothing to share with this tool.

Please share the inputs you gave the tool so the team can investigate the FW image that you had an issue with.
